Haunted October: The Beginning

31 days

IT’S FINALLY OCTOBER!  I love October for so many reasons, one of which being the spooks and haunts that are associated with Halloween.  It seems like the holiday is celebrated month-long with scary movies, haunted houses, and spooky tales.  And, those spooky tales are some of my favorite things.

During October, I will be highlighting my favorite “haunted” places in West Virginia.  These will range from well-known locations like the Trans-Allegheny Lunatic Asylum in Weston to a back woods cemetery in the northern panhandle.  Some of these places may have proven evidence to back up the claims while others may be simply folklore.  The only person who can decide that is you.

I will showcase my first haunted location tomorrow but I want to know — Do you have any West Virginia ghost stories you’d like to share?  Let me know by commenting with a ghost legend or a scary location and I may just feature it on my blog!

Until next time,
Sara (WV Travel Queen)
